detailing the period 1921 to 1991 and the start of the Gulf war.

2 - BROWN’S CHRONOLOGY

Highly detailed time line of the period 1979 to 2000.

Written by Charles Brown, a Middle East Studies major at Western Washington
University in Bellingham, WA, USA. It is very revealing of the activities of both the
Iraqi regime and the American administration.

3 - SANCTIONS CHRONOLOGY

Written and researched by Grant Wakefield, detailing the period 1990 to 2000.
It concentrates on the physical effects of sanctions on the population of Iraq,
with less reference to the Iraqi government’s degree of complicity with the situation.
